Books

It is never too early to read to your child. Start with board books to protect the pages then move on to regular books when your child is old enough. I read interactively, asking my son questions and having him turn the pages.

My son's favorite board books with tips for interactive reading...

Goodnight Moon
As you read each item in the room, take your child's finger and point to the item.
Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See?
Make animal sounds with each animal. After you read through the book ask your child to find you a bear, a goldfish, etc.
Daddy Kisses
After the wolf kisses his pup on the nose say, "Here comes your kiss on the nose" and kiss your child on the nose. Do this with all the animals.
Olivia by Ian Falconer
