Clothes and Shoes
I recommend not registering for clothes because the stock in stores changes so frequently, many items will be out of stock.
On this site, you can instead list stores that you like and colors you prefer. Here are some of my favorite kids clothing stores:

If you are shopping for your baby yourself, as opposed to registering for gifts, Ross, TJ Maxx, and Nordstrom Rack have top brand clothes for the lowest prices around.
However, you will have to sift through a lot of junk as well, so go prepared to spend some time. They are also great for inexpensive toys.
Shoes are another fun item for people to purchase as gifts for a baby in the first year. Soft-soled shoes are best for learning to walk and will fit any shape foot.
I recommend choosing your favorite style at one of these stores:
Shoeszoo.com and the counterpart at Target called Circo make a cheaper
version of the soft baby shoe. They look similar but Circo shoes do
not stay on my son as well and the narrow bands leave a mark on his
feet.
