Crib Linens
There are many crib sheet sets you can buy: matching bumpers, sheets,
quilt, etc. for medium to very high prices. I think these are
unnecessary, especially since you are not really supposed to have
anything extraneous in a newborn's crib anyway. I would recommend
getting the bare minimum and saving the expensive matching sets for
when your child is old enough to use all the parts. I would just buy
a mattress pad
and a few crib sheets, perhaps one in
flannel
or fleece
for cold weather and one in plain cotton
for warmer weather.
I tried "The Ultimate Crib Sheet" and gave mine away. It didn't
cover the sides of the mattress and was a hassle to put on. I would
also stay away from anything called "jersey,"
"knit," or "woven," since they tend to stretch out and pull.
