High Chairs/Feeding Seats

My son much prefers to sit on my lap to eat, but that makes mealtime difficult for the parent, since sometimes you need two hands and you may also need a place to restrain your baby while you prepare the meal.

The high end stand-by for a classic high chair is the Prima Pappa [photo right] by Peg Perego. Some come with a rocking function that I find unnecessary, but others enjoy.

Another alternative is a feeding seat you can strap to a chair. They are much cheaper and portable. First Years makes a nice one with a recline feature, important if your baby is not yet sitting on his own. These work less well once your baby has the strength to try to tip the chair.

A medium ground is a feeding seat that clips onto the table such as Fast De Luxe Table Chair by Inglesina. Your baby can't tip this one, but there is a weight limit.
